IN MEMORIAM- ZDRAVKO VUJICIC
Zdravko Vujacic, a prominent member of the Mountaineering Association of Montenegro, has died on December 26, 2014 in Niksic, at age 75.
Zdravko Vujicic was a longtime member of the MSC Javorak where he had gone through all the trainings and participated in the work of each section of Javork.
He was the holder of the greatest honors in mountaineering - Golden Badge of the Mountaineering Association of Yugoslavia which is why he was and once elected among the 10 best athletes of Montenegro.
Zdravko Vujicic was the organizer and participant of the most important expeditions on the mountains around the world, by winning Ararat, Grossglockner, the Dolomites, Rhyl and many other peaks.
He was the first Montenegrin who became a champion of Yugoslavia in orientation, and he repeated this success several times which made him one of the best athletes in the history of that sport in this country.
Zdravko was the organizer and instructor of a large number of schools and courses that have produced numerous orienteers.
He was also a lifeguard, chief of the Mountain Rescue Service, participant of numerous actions including Maganik, and countless patients were transported via snowed Krnovo. For many years he was a ski judge.
Mountaineering Association of Montenegro is heavy heart forgives the doyen of Montenegrin mountaineering to whom owes gratitude for the invaluable contribution to the development of mountaineering in Montenegro.
